Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven (175°C fan oven)
-
2
Put the flour, powdered sugar, hazelnuts, vanilla sugar, cinnamon and bitter almond flavouring into the kneading chamber of the pasta maker and close the lid.
-
3
Melt the butter and let it cool down.
-
4
Add an egg to the melted butter and whisk it in.
-
5
As soon as the mixing begins, pour the butter and egg mixture into the kneading chamber through the opening in the lid.
-
6
After a few minutes the cookie dough comes out. Cut the dough to the length you like. If it goes too fast, you can also press pause in between.
-
7
If you use the smooth shaping disc, you can shape the dough with your own cookie cutters.
-
8
In my version, I also put some chocolate drops on top of a few of them before baking.
-
9
Into the oven they go, bake for about 9 min. - the cookies shouldn't get too dark!
-
10
After baking, slide the cookies off the tray and let them cool down.
-
11
And now all that's left is to decorate them as you like. I dip them either halfway or completely in chocolate. Or simply pipe thin threads on top with a piping bag - done.
-
12
Pop them into a cookie tin and enjoy them with coffee or tea.
Notes & tips
Of course, you can also make these without the pasta maker. Simply make a dough from the ingredients, roll it out and cut out the cookies.
It works just as easily, it's just quicker and more convenient with the pasta maker.
This recipe also makes a lovely addition to your Christmas cookie selection.
