Instructions

PREHEAT THE OVEN (210°C CONVENTIONAL (TOP/BOTTOM HEAT))

  1. 1

Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it together with the butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until combined (don't let it get too hot!).

    Step 1
  2. 2

Beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy and add a few drops of bitter almond oil (if you don't like this "marzipan flavor", simply leave it out).

    Step 2
  3. 3

Then add the flour and mix well.

  4. 4

Next, stir in the chocolate-butter mixture.

  5. 5

Grease the muffin tins well. The standard recipe makes approx. 9 small soufflés.

    Step 5
  6. 6

Fill the tins with batter (about 3/4 full) and bake in the preheated oven for 10 min.

Tip: No longer than 10 min., otherwise the center won't stay molten!

    Step 6
  7. 7

Finally, carefully turn them out onto plates, dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a lovely scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 g sugar
  • 40 g flour
  • 80 g cocoa powder (simply sift it together with the flour)
